Chronovisor Government Past-Viewing Program Theory
The Chronovisor became powerful because it offered something most time-machine stories do not: not travel, but surveillance. It did not promise to send bodies into the past. It promised to watch the past, record the past, and turn history itself into intelligence. That made it uniquely compatible with black-project culture. Once later writers connected the Vatican legend to remote viewing, government psi research, and claims of hidden temporal technologies, the Chronovisor stopped being only a religious-scientific curiosity. It became the prototype for a secret past-viewing program.
