The Kilner Screen is one of the best-known aura-viewing devices in esoteric technology lore. Usually linked to British physician Walter J. Kilner and his 1911 book on the human atmosphere, the method claimed that observers could use dyed chemical screens to perceive the etheric double and surrounding aura, a claim that later became influential in occult and New Age circles but remained highly contested.
