Antananarivo Close Encounter Wave

The Antananarivo close encounter wave is one of the best-known African UFO cases of the 1950s. Usually dated to 16 August 1954, it became famous because a strange green luminous object and a larger metallic-looking craft were reportedly seen by large numbers of witnesses over Antananarivo at low altitude, with power failures, animal panic, and a second related observation farther north soon afterward.
