Trindade Close Encounter Case

The Trindade close encounter case is one of the most famous photographic UFO incidents in Latin American history. Usually dated to 16 January 1958 near Ilha da Trindade, Brazil, the case became legendary because a disc-shaped object was reportedly seen by numerous witnesses aboard a Brazilian Navy vessel and photographed by Almiro Baraúna, producing one of the most debated image sequences in classic ufology.
