The Cisterna di Latina close encounter case is a highly disputed Italian trace report from August 1993. Usually tied to the Le Castella area near Cisterna di Latina, the case became known because residents reported a loud boom during the night and, by morning, irregular furrows and darkened ground had appeared on a dirt road and nearby property. Some treated the site as a UFO landing trace, while others argued the marks had nothing to do with ufology at all.
