Mpox Importation Plot

The mpox importation plot is a modern conspiracy theory claiming that mpox is being deliberately brought across borders, allowed to spread through travelers or migrants, or strategically publicized through imported cases in order to manufacture panic, justify emergency powers, inflame border politics, or prepare the public for another round of health controls. In reality, mpox is a real viral disease with documented travel-associated cases and some local transmission, but the strongest importation-plot claims go far beyond the evidence.
